Simply Sweet Dessert Recipes

Ingredients:

• 1-1/2 qt. milk
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 6 eggs
• 1 Tb. vanilla
• 1-1/4 c. sugar
• 1 tsp. lemon extract

Directions:

Heat the milk in a double boiler.

• 2-in. stick cinnamon

• 4 drops wintergreen oil

Steam the citron and apricots until they are soft, and then cut them in the required manner.

Heat the milk to scalding in a double boiler.

• 1 c. wheat flour
• 1/2 c. barley flour
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/4 c. shortening
• 1/4 to 3/8 c. water

Sift the flour and salt into a mixing bowl.

• 2 c. flour
• 3 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 c. milk
• 1 Tb. melted fat

Mix and sift the dry ingredients.

• 2-1/2 c. milk
• Caramel
• 3 eggs
• Pinch of salt
• Few drops of vanilla

Heat the milk in a double boiler, add the caramel to the milk, and then cool the mixture.

• Few grains of salt

Heat the milk in a double boiler, reserving enough to moisten the corn starch.
